When I never I receive an early morning call, and by early I mean before 9am here in the UK , I fear the worst and the first thought that crosses my mind is whether I am about to learn that a member of my family back in Uganda is ill or worse.
So when the phone went off at 7.30am on Monday morning my heart sunk and when I saw who was calling I steadied myself and found somewhere to sit. My cousin Bina doesn’t call often and when she does it is not so early in the morning.
The purpose of her call? She had picked up the morning paper in Uganda and discovered there was a big spread about me and my work in The Daily Monitor a local paper in Uganda
